As CEO of Boomers Parks since 2020, Tim Murphy took eight parks from bankruptcy to profitability in just a year – in the middle of a global pandemic. When Boomers acquired these parks, they were operating at a $10 million loss. Tim transformed the customer experience and added new revenue streams to generate a 180% increase in revenue.

Additionally, Tim is a Board Director with Coney Park and Happy City - Family Entertainment and Amusement Parks, part of The Carlyle Group ($275B assets), a private equity firm which operates 150+ family entertainment centers and amusement parks in Latin America.


Tim has worked with top-tier entertainment and restaurant brands including Disney, Rebounderz Trampoline Parks, Darden Restaurants (Olive Garden, Bahama Breeze, etc.), Red Lobster, Jimmy John’s, Applebee’s, Sonny’s Bar-B-Q, Denny’s, El Pollo Loco, Hardee’s, Golden Corral, and Firehouse Subs. Tim has overseen more than 35 purchase transactions involving over 1,200 restaurant, store, and park locations. With extensive experience in buying and selling businesses, handling negotiations with buyers and sellers, and creating strategic partnerships to build strong brands, Tim has facilitated deals ranging from $11 million to $350 million+.


Tim is an IAAPA Certified Attractions Executive (ICAE), a member of IAAPA, CAPA, FAA, AAMA & WWA. He is a licensed commercial real estate broker in the State of Florida. Tim earned a BS/BA in Accounting from the University of Central Florida and an MBA in Finance from Orlando College.

Acquired eight parks from APEX Parks Group though bankruptcy that had 2019 negative <$10MM> EBITDA; then turned all eight parks into 2021 profitable $8MM+ EBITDA; and setup company to earn $15MM+ EBITDA in 2022 as well as creating new revenue streams through acquisitions, creating patents, licensing products and franchising park operations for future growth.

Rebounderz Franchise & Development Inc.

Led operations, training, marketing, franchising, manufacturing and compliance for 12-unit, international family entertainment centers & attraction manufacturing; negotiated real estate; designed prototypes; and selected sites. Sold company by creating growth; and filing patent infringement lawsuits on infringers that produced long-term income. 


Sonny’s Franchise Company

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Managed franchise acquisitions and designed prototypes for Sonny’s BBQ of 40 franchisees with 153 locations. Managed due diligence and arranged $110MM in private equity for acquisition of restaurant chain and retail products.


Specialty Restaurant Development

Led $60MM private equity acquisition; functioned as CEO for 15 Applebee’s and 7 Green Hills Grilles / Ray’s on the River. Opened new restaurants; created 750% sales growth & revenues; reduced food & labor costs to increase EBITDA 140%.

Administered $500MM budgets for more than 2,800 restaurants, including Denny’s, Hardee’s, Quincy’s, El Pollo Loco, Cocos, Carrows, Mother Butler Pies, Winchell Donuts, Canteen Services and Volume Services.
Directed corporate finance debt after $1B Chapter 11 bankruptcy (formerly Flagstar Restaurant Group)
